Jean-Bosco Ouédraogo, MD, PhD, Head of Malaria & Neglected Diseases Unit, Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Santé: Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso

Jean-Bosco Ouedraogo is a parasitologist and medical researcher with over twenty years’ experience in the field of malaria drug resistance and epidemiological, clinical and vaccine research. He is President of the Association for Science of Health of Burkina Faso and teaches at the University of Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso University. He has also served as Regional Director of the Regional Institute of Health Sciences (ICES) in Bobo-Dioulasso since 1997. Professor Ouédraogo was nominated by his peers as the first Executive Secretary of the West African Research Network for Health (ROARES) in November 2010. Pr Ouédraogo serves as a member of several scientific societies, has directed over ten international malariology courses organised by the WHO Regional Office for Africa, and has published over 100 publications in leading journals.
